Junior Software Engineer

Our team is rapidly growing, changing, and adapting. We’re looking for a Junior Engineer to add to the mix of creative craftspeople. This role will work directly with the Director of Technology and technology team while learning from others across the department and delivering exceptional code.

Success in this role.
As a Junior Engineer, you know the ropes, but you are mastering of your craft and are aggressively curious.  You communicate clearly and seek to understand. In this role you will collaborate on digital campaigns alongside other engineers, designers and writers and in collaboration with client services.

Responsibilities & Core Competencies:

  • Learn. Be curious.

  • Contribute to development of features within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment

  • Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to the team regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications

  • Be accountable: take responsibility for your work, your commitments and your team.

  • Think critically, display logic, rational and objectivity when problem solving.

  • Stand on your feet: have a degree of comfort with working independently and with exposure to new situations and challenges.


  • Basic knowledge of Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, web programming skills, general web functions and standards

  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Understanding of coding best practices to ensure accessibility and validity

  • Attention to detail and logical thinker

  • Excellent time management skills and experience delivering projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced agency

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Desire to learn about digital services across email, web, and social
